New regional liaison coordinator joints Reconnaissance to develop Russian-speaking markets
Micaal Sidorov, born in Russia and a fluent Russian speaker, has joined Reconnaissance as regional liaison coordinator, with responsibility for developing relations with the company’s –customers in Russia and the CIS states – principally at the company’s conferences (including the CIS-focused Pan European High Security Printing Conference) but also for its newsletters. A native of Russia and a fluent Russian-speaker, Micaal has spent the past six years undertaking freelance translations and interpretations.
Commenting on Micaal’s appointment, Astrid Mitchell – Conference Director for the High Security Printing Conference and Editor of Currency News and Tax Stamp News, said: ‘There is an exceptionally high-class scientific research base in Russia and the CIS states, which are the source of some of the most exciting and innovative security technologies and features in the market. These organisations are keen to develop relationships and partnerships with their counterparts around the world, and our conferences and publications are ideal forums for them to do so. Language, however, can be issue – and Micaal will play a key role in bridging this language gap by monitoring developments in the region and helping companies there to bring these developments to the attention of the wider community’.
